It was Camo Spirit-day at MPISD. The MPISD Foundation Grant Patrol geared up for another joyful morning (with masks on our faces). We adhered to MPISD’s COVID protocols and did not enter each campus this time. Instead, we were greeted at the front lobbies of schools by some very happy grant winners and administrators. The band played the MPISD “fight song” over the intercom system for all teachers and students to know that we were there to share some great news!! All grant winners were announced over the intercom at each school. This caused some great reactions at each one of the classrooms as students and teachers alike, received the happy news.
Two campuses were also surprised to learn that they had been chosen as campus winners. P.E. Wallace Middle School received $9,998.30 to install an Outdoor Learning Center and E.C. Brice received $10,000 to purchase smart TV’s to be used as projectors in every classroom.
