“Every Grant Awards Day is special, but this one also happens to be in our tenth anniversary year,” said Foundation Executive Director, Mariela Crockett. “Many of our Foundation Board members have served on our Board for the entire 10 years and they have seen the difference made in the MPISD classrooms made possible by these grants. At the same time, some of our grant recipients grew up in MPISD schools and witnessed grants being awarded to their teachers twice yearly for 10 years and now they are the ones writing grants and supporting the Foundation with their donations. This beautiful legacy brings us together to continue in our mission to provide resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and offer extended educational opportunities to teachers and students at MPISD”
